A6 - SERENITY Support Environment

SERENITY Support Environment integration activity

This integrated activity provides the SERENITY integrated framework, i.e. security mechanisms, support for requirements definition and mechanism selection, as well as monitoring and reaction mechanisms for heterogeneous and dynamic computing environments.

Objectives

  • 1. To make validated security mechanisms available to systems and devices in heterogeneous and dynamic computing environments and promote their assurance.
  • 2. To integrate security solutions, requirements definition and solution selection, and monitoring and reaction mechanisms in a common framework

Description

In the context of this activity, tools will be developed to support the specification and management of Security and Dependability patterns and Integration Schemes. Furthermore, this activity will also provide tools supporting the specification of requirements and the selection of appropriate security mechanisms to fulfil the requirements in a specific context.

The SERENITY framework comprises :

  • Tools for management of Security and Dependability Patterns,

Integration Schemes and End-user requirements.

  • Support for automatic integration of S&D patterns, integration

schemes and End-user requirements into systems that are

integrated into heterogeneous and dynamic computing

environments

  • Mechanisms for Static and Dynamic Validation
